Previous Sri Lanka opening batsman Sanath Jayasuriya has been accused of two tallies of breaking the International Cricket Council (ICC) Anti-Corruption Code.

Jayasuriya has been given 14 days from October 15, 2018 to react.

Jayasuriya — who is likewise a previous Sri Lanka Cricket Chair of Selectors — has been charged under offenses relating article 2.4.6 and article 2.4.7.

Article 2.4.6 stipulates disappointment or refusal, without convincing legitimization, to collaborate with any examination did by the ACU, including inability to give precisely and totally any data or potentially documentation asked for by the ACU as a component of such examination.

Though article 2.4.7 manages hindering or deferring any examination that might be done by the ACU, including covering, messing with or obliterating any documentation or other data that might be significant to that examination as well as that might be proof or may prompt the disclosure of proof of degenerate lead under the Anti-Corruption Code.
